BPR at Fashion Week

It's a bittersweet farewell to Bryant Park as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week sets up shop for the last time at the vaunted venue. Beginning this fall, the tents will be raised at Lincoln Center and it just won't seem the same, will it? Sadly, all the talk around fashion week today centers on the tragic passing of Alexander McQueen.

Of course, Team BPR is here for tomorrow's taping of the Project Runway Season 7 finale. The steps and sidewalks are covered with ice and slush, posing a challenge for the models to simply make their way into the tents. And tomorrow madness will ensue as we will see up to 11 Season 7 designers show. BPR will be bringing you reports and photos from the scene over the next week.

We'll also be following fashion week shows from PR alumni including Christian Siriano and Irina Shabayeva. It should be an eventful week, so stay tuned!

It's an exciting week for Project Runway as the Season 7 finale will be filmed tomorrow morning at Bryant Park. It appears as if there will be 8 decoy collections shown in addition to the final 3. Can you imagine what sort of state Tim will be in backstage? Team BPR is traveling to the Big Apple today and will be bringing you exclusive reports from the scene.

Meanwhile, there is one more designer to eliminate in what is being billed as "the biggest challenge in Project Runway history" with the winner receiving an "unprecedented" prize. Such hype! Of course BPR will be ready to watch Tim and Joanna Coles in the lobby of the Hearst Tower tonight. Here's our weather dependent plan:

There is a chance of history being made this evening. No, it has nothing to do with the hyped up challenge or prize. Team BPR might, for the first time ever, be watching the new episode all together in the same room at the same time. The blog may very well self-destruct! The party room opens at 9:30 p.m. and hopefully we will all be there with you!
Tbone may or may not be in the play by play booth depending on his location and his condition after the BPR executive meeting. But suzq (the diva that she is) will be on hand to go solo just in case. Find out who is een and who is auf live as it happens beginning at 10:00 p.m.
And of course we will have the rections thread up at 11:00 p.m. for your final takes on this week's epiosde.

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y - Week 4

Hi PR Fantasy Game Fans,

Can you believe that Friday is the Fashion Week finale for Season 7? The designers are in NYC right now putting the finishing touches on their collections, fitting models and getting in each other's way, I imagine. Oh, to be a fashionable fly on the wall of the tent!

But we need to think about our teams for the Episode 5 round of the Fantasy Game. Guilt overwhelmed me this week for dropping my guy Anthony. He's way too charming, real and funny, so he's back on the roster with Amy (still loving her for the potato sack handkerchief skirt) and Mila who confidently pushes the envelope which is something I admire.

And you? Who are you liking for a really big challenge? Heidi in the winning look on the cover of Marie Claire. Eat your heart out Elle!
